When I found out that SBG was looking for a sustainability coordinator, I immediately said yes. This subject has always fascinated me and I have gained a lot of experience in it during my work. But first a little about myself. I have lived in the Genderbeemd for more than 25 years. I think it is a wonderful neighborhood, a 'village' located between Veldhoven and Eindhoven, together with my partner Hedwig and our 2 children. The latter have left the house for several years now. I have always worked in the real estate department of various housing associations in the country. First as a consultant, later as a permanent employee. This experience suits me well now. I want to try (together with the other members of our sustainable working group) to make Genderbeemd more sustainable: less energy use, less waste, more greenery. Climate change forces us to make important choices. We also have to participate in this development. Let us ensure that our children and grandchildren also have an earth where it is pleasant to live.
